We’d Rather Be at Canyon Creek

We’d Rather Be at Canyon Creek

It's 420, and we'd rather be heading to the Canyon Creek Cabins to relax, refresh & pack a bowl or two.

For more angles and views, check out our Instagram.

Fall has arrived, apparently. The calendar says so, the leaves are starting to think about it, and somewhere there is definitely a person wearing a sweater with a coffee in hand. Meanwhile, half the country is still being cooked alive by heat waves, so the seasonal transition feels a little more theoretical than usual if we’re being honest.

There’s something nice about this in-between moment. The days are shifting, but there’s still plenty of room to linger. To put something good on in the background, stare out a window for a while, and let your brain wander somewhere it probably wasn’t planning to go.

This week, we’re leaning into that feeling. We’re slowing things down with a strange little trip through Relativity Park, getting comfortable with a two-hour jazz mashup, and taking a sticky trip through the history of dabbing. We’re also looking ahead to our new release The Drop, which is getting closer by the minute. If you want in, you can get on the waitlist. (The link is down below)

Mostly, though, this week is about doing nothing. Whatever that means to you. Maybe it’s music. Maybe it’s getting lost in something weird on the internet. Maybe it’s lying very still and thinking about absolutely nothing. All valid uses of an afternoon.

So, without further ado, we have our weekly inspiration for you to spark your afternoon daydreams. 🌿✨

Explore Relativity Park

What would the world look like if light moved at a very leisurely 5km/h? Relativity Park lets you find out (and not to spoil anything but it's really fu**ing cool), turning a strange physics concept into something you can actually see and wander through. As you move around its surreal little world, things stretch, warp, shift, and generally stop behaving the way you'd expect. It's a surprisingly approachable way to get a feel for relativity, and a good excuse to spend a few minutes watching reality get really weird.

Two Hours of Jazz & Daydreaming

There's something about jazz and a quiet room that makes time feel a little less important. This two-hour mix pulls together the jazz that drifts through Haruki Murakami's novels, with some Miles Davis, Coltrane, Monk, Mingus, Ornette Coleman, and more. It's mood, it's hypnotic, and probably best enjoyed with nowhere else to be. Put it on, pack your favorite piece, and let the afternoon take its sweet time.

A Little Something Sticky

Dabbing has a history that goes a little deeper than just celebrating 710 Day. From early hash oils and honey oil to resin, wax, sauce, diamonds, and everything in between, concentrates have taken quite the trip over the years. One of our favorite High Times articles traces how dabs have evolved, where 710 came from, and how a once-nice corner of cannabis culture became its own unofficial holiday. A little history, a little chemistry, and plenty of sticky details. And while we're on the subject of what's next, The Drop is coming soon. Get on the waitlist here.
