Palm Springs, A Little Nostalgia, and a Little Pastrami

Palm Springs, A Little Nostalgia, and a Little Pastrami

It's 420, and we'd rather be waking up slow in Palm Springs, sun-drenched and stoned, at the iconic Kaufmann Desert House. Richard Neutra knew exactly what he was doing.

March already? The days are getting longer, the sun is sticking around a little later, and that means we’re inching closer to real-deal spring. But for now, we’re stuck in Fool’s Spring (cries inside) —where one day you’re basking in the warmth, and the next, you're layering up like it's January all over again. The Oscars just happened, the internet is still arguing about the wins and snubs, and somehow, we’re getting a new Djo album before we see Steve Harrington fight off another Upside Down monster.

Some weeks are for getting things done. Others are for doing absolutely nothing, and honestly, that’s an art form in itself. Whether nothing looks like staring out the window with a joint in hand, deep-diving into a random niche internet obsession, or just laying on the floor listening to your favorite album front to back, we support it. And if you need a little inspiration for that kind of vibe, we’ve got you covered.

This week, we’re looking at people recreating snapshots of their past, right down to the same outfits and backdrops. New York’s legendary Carnegie Deli pastrami has made its way to Costco, so you can bring a little piece of history to your kitchen. Vogue is asking when the world will finally cut Millennials some slack. And of course, a fresh track from Djo to space out to.

So, without further ado, we have our weekly inspiration for you to spark your afternoon daydreams. 🌿✨

Same Faces, New Decades & A Trip Through Time

Photo Recreated 35 Years Later

Time warps are real, and they live in old photo albums. People are recreating snapshots from their past! Same poses, same places, just a few more laugh lines and a lot more life lived. It’s funny, a little bittersweet, and proof that some things (and some people) never really change.

New Yorks Legendary Pastrami Just Hit Costco Shelves

Carnagie Deli Pastrami & Corned Beef Sandwich
Carnegie Deli’s legendary pastrami & corned beef have made their way to Costco, bringing a little slice of New York deli magic to the masses. No need to squeeze into a tiny booth or wait in line—now you can stack up a sky-high sandwich at home. Best part? You don't even have to put pants on.

When Will The World Take A Beat?

Dinner party, group of friends laughing
At this point, Millennials should get some kind of badge for surviving every historical event thrown their way. From recessions to pandemics, impossible housing markets to the student debt crisis, it’s been one long, exhausting ride. Despite what we see on Social Media, we were never meant to consume this volume of others lives. Vogue takes a look at how an entire generation got stuck in survival mode. Then it asks when, if ever, the world might start to get brighter. If you've ever stared at your bills and thought, how is this real life?, you're not alone & this one’s for you.
