How is it already the end of February? The Birds took the Super Bowl, we aged decades trying to get Beyoncé tickets, and the world keeps spinning at full chaos speed. Time is moving fast, but that doesn’t mean you have to. In the midst of all the noise, there’s something sacred about doing absolutely nothing—whether that’s staring at your ceiling, rewatching your comfort show, or finally checking in on that Sims family you abandoned in 2012.

This week, we’re celebrating the 25th birthday of The Sims and all the beautifully unhinged digital lives we left behind, reliving Doechii’s mind-altering Grammy performance, and getting lost in Mickalene Thomas’ powerful, disruptive paintings of Black domesticity. And if you’re not already looping SZA and Kendrick’s latest drop, let this be your sign. Bonus points if you're counting down the days till their tour.

So before March sneaks up on us, take a breath. Light something. Do nothing. Or do something that feels like nothing. Whatever that looks like for you, it’s valid.

Somewhere in the digital void, your abandoned Sims are still there—starving, peeing themselves, trapped in a pool with no ladder. This piece takes a hilarious, slightly existential look at the pixelated lives we created and then casually forgot about,(or if you're like me you're still going strong 25 years later 😅) leaving them to glitch, suffer, and throw tantrums in their tiny, simulated worlds.

Doechii hit the Grammy stage and left no crumbs. Her live performance of “CATFISH” and “DENIAL IS A RIVER” was electric—bold, raw, and completely jaw dropping. Every note, every move, every moment felt like a statement, proving once again that she’s in a league of her own. She is THAT GIRL!!!

Layered with collage, color, and texture, her work is a love letter to identity, beauty, and history. It’s all about love, but not the small kind; the kind that reclaims, redefines, and radiates.
