It's 420, and we'd rather be in the West Midlands of England, sinking into a velvet conversation pit from 1965 that feels like time slowed down just for you. Soft edges, low light, and nothing to do but stay awhile. Designed by Mason & Richards.

Somehow we blinked and the end of summer is already sneaking up on us. Labor Day is peeking around the corner, and the rumor is coffee shops are already dusting off their pumpkin spice. Too soon. Way too soon. 😭 There’s still plenty of August sun left, and we’re holding onto it with both hands!! Lazy afternoons, overripe peaches, and that humid haze that makes time stretch just a little bit slower.
This is the sweet spot: not quite the end, not quite the beginning. The perfect excuse to pause before the pace picks up again. Maybe that means taking a “weird walk” just to see where your brain wanders, zoning out in front of art that feels like half-remembered dreams, or watching massive water lilies get weighed like it’s the chillest sport alive. Maybe it just means putting Indigo De Souza’s new album on repeat until the songs feel like muscle memory. (That's what I've been up to)
Summer’s winding down, but there’s still time to linger, stretch it out, and let yourself do nothing at all. Sometimes the best way to prepare for what’s next is by not preparing at all. Just letting the days pass as they are. Sticky, soft, and fleeting in the best way.
Wanna Go On A 'Weird Walk'?

Some people sideline the 10,000 steps a day game and prefer to wander until something feels weird enough to spark their curiosity. These "weird walks" aren’t about exercise though, they’re about noticing the unexpected. Small things, like birds acting weird or graffiti hidden in plain sight, can really help reset your brain and grease the wheels of creativity.

Water Lily Weigh-Off Challenge!
A water lily weigh-off? Yeah, it’s exactly as weird and mesmerizing as it sounds. New York Botanical Garden just threw down the challenge, and now dozens of gardens are showing how much weight their giant lily pads can hold. It’s oddly grounding, watching these floating green giants support piles of sandbags or other random objects without even breaking a sweat. It’s quiet & absurd joy at it's finest.
